Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai mara game reserve
Depart Nairobi in the morning as early as 07:00 hrs and drive along the floor of the Rift Valley to Masai Mara arriving at the selected accommodation in good time for an early hot lunch and relaxation. Take an afternoon rest after lunch at Julia’s River Camp as you wait for the sun to cool down for the game viewing which starts at 3:00 pm till sunset or until the closing time of the Maasai mara park gate. This will then mark your introduction game viewing in this park well known for flora and fauna. The rest of the evening will end at the camp where dinner will be served. You are free to recharge your phone and cameras at no extra cost.

Day 2 & 3: Maasai mara game reserve
Two Full Days in Maasai Mara
Spend two unforgettable days exploring the spectacular Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya’s premier wildlife destinations. With morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have excellent opportunities to see Africa’s Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino—alongside giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, cheetahs, hyenas, warthogs, and many other species.
The Maasai Mara covers approximately 1,510 km² of beautiful savannah landscapes, riverine forests, and wildlife-rich plains. The Mara and Talek Rivers provide important water sources and create opportunities for incredible wildlife encounters and photography.
From July to October, the reserve can also offer opportunities to witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration, when millions of wildebeest and other grazers move between Tanzania’s Serengeti and the Maasai Mara.
At Shoebill Uganda Tours, we recommend spending two full days in the Mara to explore different areas and increase your chances of memorable wildlife sightings. You’ll overnight in a comfortable camp surrounded by the natural beauty of the African wilderness.

Day 4: Maasai Mara to Nairobi Kenya
This will mark the end of your trip in Maasai mara and after morning game viewing we shall return for late breakfast at around 09:00 hrs (morning game will be as from 06:00 hrs until around 08:45 hrs; Early cup of tea or coffee will be served to you before you return for a late breakfast). After breakfast, the company shall pay for your Maasai village tour to summarize your visit in Kenya thereafter we shall depart Maasai Mara for Nairobi where safari shall end in the late afternoon between 4 pm and 5 pm local time
