Overview

The 7-day trip takes you to Uganda’s finest national parks for wildlife experience and relaxation. During the tour, you will explore primates like chimpanzees in the primate capital, Kibaale forest national park with higher chances of meeting the endangered species through trekking. You will also visit Murchison falls national park for the mighty sport fishing activity and a launch cruise.  The tour also features the Queen Elizabeth national park where you will encounter the tree climbing lions in the lion tracking activity at Ishasha along with other activities like a game drive before you end the trip. This trip will start and end in Uganda’s capital, Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer To Kibale National Park

Depending on your location in Kampala, you will be met by our driver guide who will enlighten you briefly about the 7 days tour. Embark on a 6-7 hour drive with a stopover in Fort portal for lunch while enjoying views of plantations, peaks of Rwenzori, crater lakes among others. Proceed to Kibaale national park and check in at the booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Meal plan: half board.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp walk

Before sunrise, you should be awake for breakfast and then transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. Embark on chimpanzee trekking activity in the park. Luckily, you will be allowed to stay with them for 1 hour to watch them feeding, breastfeeding, patrolling and resting. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon have a nature walk up to Bigodi swamp. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge.

Day 3: Transfer To Murchison Falls National Park/ Launch Cruise

Have an early morning breakfast and transfer to Murchison falls national park in Masindi district and check in at the booked hotel. Have lunch and embark on an evening launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 4: Sport Fishing and Evening game drive

After grabbing breakfast, embark on a boat for the thrilling sport fishing activity done at Karuma falls in the North Eastern side of the park. Expect to catch Nile perch and Tilapia from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Return to the lodge for lunch and relax as you get ready for an evening game drive. Expect to see wild game like antelopes, lions among others as they hunt their prey. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as on the previous day.

Day 5: Transfer To Queen Elizabeth National Park and cultural experiences.

After a morning bite, the driver will pick you up and transfer you to one of the best national parks in Uganda called Queen Elizabeth. Along the way you will scenic views of its endowments like birds and animals. On arrival check-in at the booked lodge have lunch and relax. In the evening, a walk to the local communities and experience their cultures as you watch their dances, listen to their songs among others. You will also visit the craft shops and later return to the lodge for dinner and rest.

Day 6: Morning Game Drive Launch Cruise At Kazinga Channel

Have early morning coffee at the park and prepare for a morning game drive around the park. expect to see lions especially at the Ishasha sector in the South of the Park, buffaloes among others as they come back to their nests after a night’s hunt and as they feed on the savannah grasslands in the park. Return to the lodge, have lunch and in the evening embark on a cruise to Kazinga Channel. Expect to see hippos, crocodiles and birds as they flock around the channel all year around. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Ishasha drive and transfer back to Kampala.

After having breakfast, you will prepare foe a transfer back to Kampala passing through the Ishasha sector, south of the park. Expect to sight the tree climbing lions as they locate their prey and possibly take pictures making the end of your lifetime experience.
