Overview
This 4 days trip takes you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda, a hearthstone to over 120 mammals, 500 plant species and 350 bird species where 23 species are endemic. With over 200 Mountain gorillas, you will greatly enjoy the ultimate gorilla experience to its climax alongside other activities in the park like birding, nature walk and cultural encounters with the indigenous tribes of Batwa and the Bakiga.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel.
Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe International airport, you will meet up with our experienced driver guide from Shoebill Uganda Tours. You will be welcomed and transferred to the hotel in Entebbe with a precise briefing about the tour. Check in and relax as you prepare for a visit to Entebbe Botanical gardens in the evening. Expect to see different bird species hovering around and refreshments from the cool breezes of the gigantic Lake Victoria. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park.
After having your breakfast, embark on a 7 – 9 hours journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National park. Make a stopover at the Equator in Kayabwe for photography and refreshments and another one in Mbarara at Igogo Cultural Centre for lunch. Proceed to the park and check in at Rushaga sector, have dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge as you await for the gorilla experience the following day.

Day 3: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural encounter.
After morning breakfast, our driver guide will transfer you from the hotel to the park headquarters with packed lunch where you will be registered and divided into groups of 8 and later assigned a gorilla family to trek. Proceed to the forest and commence the trekking of the gorillas giving you the ultimate experience of the gorillas alongside colorful birds and butterflies. Having found a gorilla, you are allowed to stay with it for 1 hour as you watch it play and take memorable pictures. After lunch, you will have a visit to the local communities of Batwa and watch them portray their lifestyles through singing, crafts and dancing. In the evening, return to the lodge, relax, have dinner and retire for a night.
Day 4: Forest walk and transfer to Entebbe.
On your last day of the trip, you will wake up early and prepare for a forest walk commencing from Rushaga gate through the forest as you explore its surroundings with different birds to see and soothing sounds to hear for 2 – 3 hours. Return to the lodge for breakfast as you prepare for a transfer back to Entebbe International airport to catch up with your flight if it is on the same day.
