Overview

The 5 days tour takes you to Mount Bisoke, the 3^rd highest mountain in Rwanda, found in Volcanoes National park for a hike that will take you about a day to reach crater lake on top when you climb to its summit giving you spectacular views of the surrounding areas. Besides hiking, you will be able to carry out gorilla trekking, golden monkey trekking, and visit to the Iby’lwacu village to experience the culture in Rwanda before the end of the trip. Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park with a city tour.

On your arrival, you will be picked up by our English -speaking driver guide from your residence or Kigali Airport and have a drive through the city to Genocide memorial site, the local markets among others. With enroute lunch, you will be transferred to Volcanoes National park and check in at the booked lodge. Have dinner and a nights rest.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking .

Wake up very early in the morning for breakfast meet up with the driver guide for a transfer back to Kanigi park headquarters with parked lunch for briefing. In groups, embark on trekking in search for the mountain gorillas in the jungle where you will be allowed to stay with them for 1 hour once found and take pictures. Animals like elephants, buffaloes can also be seen. In the evening, you meet the driver and transfer back to the lodge chosen on day one for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Golden monkey trekking and Iby’lwacu visit.

On the amazing 3^rd day of the trip, you will have morning breakfast and transfer to the park headquarters for a short briefing. Embark on the search for golden monkey in the jungle where you will have 1 hour with them after spotting them. Return to the lodge for lunch and later drive to Iby’lwacu village for a cultural encounter. You will meet different people, taste their local food as you get entertained by the local dances. Dinner and overnight sleep at the lodge.

Day 4: Mount Bisoke hike.

Have early morning breakfast from the lodge and transfer to the park headquarters at Kanigi for briefing with packed lunch. At 8:00 am, transfer to the starting point of the hike and get hiking sticks and hire porters to help out with backpack. The hike will take you almost a full day hence you must be physically fit to climb up to

Day 5: Departure to Kigali.

After breakfast in the morning, you will start the engine to transfer back to Kigali for a flight or hotel of your choice marking the end of the amazing trip.
