Overview

The 5-days tour will commence and end in Uganda’s capital, Kampala heading to the best national parks for wildlife adventures. You will visit Queen Elizabeth national park for a lion tour at Ishasha sector and Bwindi Impenetrable national park, a home to the biggest number of primates worldwide. With activities like gorilla trekking, launch cruise, game drives in the parks, you will have wildlife experiences giving you utmost satisfaction.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth.

From your location in Kampala, you will meet up with our experienced driver guide from Shoebill Uganda Tours and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park in Western Uganda which will take you 6-7 hours. On the way, you will make a stopover at the Equator for refreshment, photography and Mbarara town for lunch. Proceed and check in at the park on arrival. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge.

MEAL PLAN: lunch and dinner.

Day 2: Game drive and afternoon boat cruise.

After a tasty bbreakfast meal, you will have a morning game drive around the park to experience its endowments. Expect to see 4 of the big five mammals like elephants, lions, giraffes giving you high chances of photography. Return to the lodge for lunch as you wait for the afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel. The cruise will give you high chances of spotting crocodiles, hippos taking their dips in  the water. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay as on day 1.

Day 3: Ishasha tour and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable.

After having breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive heading to the South of the park at Ishasha where you will tour the tree climbing lions. Expect to see lions as they climb trees and how they come down after spotting their prey. Using the same route, you will [proceed and transferto Bwindi Impenetrable national park where you will check in at the booked lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

MEAL PLAN: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and chill.

After your delicious breakfast, carry packed lunch from the lodge and be transferred to the headquarters to meet fellow trekkers. You will be briefed and assigned a gorilla family to trek and later begin the activity led by the experienced guide. This activity can take you about 3- 7 hours depending on the movement of the mountain gorillas. Having found a gorilla, you will be allowed to stay with it for 1 hour and takes some photos. Drive back to the lodge, relax, have supper and another night.

Day 5: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala.

 On the last day of the wildlife safari, enjoy an early morning breakfast from the lodge and prepare for a transfer back to Kampala at your pace with a stopover at Mbarara for lunch and refreshments.
