Overview

You should not miss out on the 4 days of double gorilla trekking that takes you all the way to Volcanoes national park in Rwanda where you will trek 2 gorilla families out of 10 in the park with Shoebill Uganda Tours. Detailed Itinerary 

Day 1: pick up and transfer to volcanoes National Park.

On your arrival at Kigali Airport, you will be met by our driver guide who will welcome you and brief you lightly about the entire trip. After the briefing, you will proceed to Volcanoes National Park, a home to engendered mountain gorillas in the North West, with a visit to the Kigali Genocide site. Check in at the booked lodge for dinner and retire for a night.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking. (1^st).

After breakfast, you will be transferred to for briefing and registration at the park headquarters. Embark on gorilla trekking at 8:00 am in search of the first family. You will be allowed to spend one hour with the gorilla as you take pictures and learn about their eating, breastfeeding and feeding habits. Have lunch and go for optional activities like visiting the twin lakes if time allows and return to the lodge for dinner and retire for a night.

Day 3: Second Gorilla trekking and cultural visit.

After breakfast, you will again transfer to the headquarters for the second day of the trek. On this day, you will trek a different gorilla family from that on the first day. After enroute lunch, you will visit Iby’Iwacu villages where the gorilla guardians live. You will learn about the traditions and culture of Rwanda. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Kigali city tour and departure.

After having breakfast, you will have a city around Kigali to the museum, markets as you depart from the park to the airport for your flight. This marks the end of the tour.
