The 9 days safari takes you for lifetime adventures in Uganda’s best national parks for wildlife and adventurous experiences. The drive will begin from Murchison falls, Kibaale forest national park, Queen Elizabeth National park and Bwindi impenetrable national park. You will carry out chimpanzee trekking, sport fishing, gorilla trekking, game drives, boat cruise in the mentioned parks. The safari will commence and end in Kampala.

Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison falls national park.
From your advised location in Kampala, our driver guide from Shoebill Uganda Tours will you up and brief you about the safari. Embark on a 6-7 hours drive to Murchison falls national park via Masindi. Along the way, make a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking for 2 hours, and proceed to Masindi town for lunch. Arrive at the park through Kichumbayobo gate and check in for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 2: Morning game drive and boat cruise in the evening.
After breakfast, meet your driver for an early morning game drive in the park’s savannah grasslands. Expect to see some of the big five mammals like giraffes, elephants together with amazing views of birds hovering around giving you a thrill, and after return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon embark on a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls at Devils Cauldron with rewarding views of the falls hitting vigorously through the narrow hole making a mighty roar. Return to the booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibaale Forest National park.
After a heavy breakfast, embark on a journey to Fort portal Via Hoima to Kibale Forest National park. Along the way, you will have views of the traditional homesteads and farmlands. On arrival at the park, check-in at the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 4: Chimpanzee trekking and Bigodi wetland walk.
Having grabbed your breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanyanchu Tourist center for briefing and set out for chimpanzee trekking in the forest. Have en route lunch and visit the Bigodi wetland through a nature walk. Fortunately, you will be able to see a variety of flora and fauna including birds and insects. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park and launch cruise.
After having breakfast, transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park with amazing views of the mystical mount Rwenzori national park. Check-in at the booked lodge and have lunch and embark on a cruise to Kazinga Channel in the afternoon. Expect to see hippos, occasional Nile crocodiles and nice views of birds. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 6: Morning game drive and a visit to Maramagambo forest.
Wake up early for a morning game drive with packed lunch to see the predators like hippos, lions as they return to their hideouts. After lunch, proceed to Maramagambo forest where you will encounter pythons that feed on the bats in the caves. Expect to see primates like baboons, black and white Colobus monkeys, birds among others. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay at the chosen lodge from above.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park.
Have morning breakfast and set off for a 3- 4hours drive through the Ishasha sector, South of Queen Elizabeth national park and head to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The drive will take you through scenic views of wild game like lions, different landscapes, among others. On arrival at the park, check-in at Rushaga sector. Have lunch and relax up to the evening as you wait for the following day. Dinner and overnight stay at the booked lodge.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and cultural encounter.
After having your breakfast, you will be transferred to the park headquarters for registration and briefing, you will be divided into groups of 8 and commence the trekking activity. Once you find a gorilla, you will be allowed to stay with it for 1hour. Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for the cultural encounter with the Batwa locals. You will encounter and learn about their past lifestyles in the forests like dancing, singing and how they used the herbs for medicine. Return to the lodge for dinner and retire for a night.
Day 9: Set off back to Kampala.
After breakfast, you will prepare for a transfer back to Kampala at a relaxed pace with enroute lunch. This marks the end of the trip.
