Daily canoe boat trip to Mabamba Swamp

Shoebill Uganda tours operates a motorized canoe boat to Mabamba swamp to see the elusive shoebill stock. Our boat needs a minimum of 2 people. This is a group trip and the more the number of members joining the lower the price of the trip, we can pick you up from your hotel in Entebbe and join other travelers at the pier at Nakiwogo landing site. All the members will be required to book the boat trip at least 2 days to the trip starting date as this helps us prepare well in advance though some times, last minute booking are allowed but on various conditions.

The trip starts from Nakiwogo landing site and payments can be done in advance or in cash on the trip date. Couple always have a discount of 5% of the total amount to be paid. The price is per person as many others will be joining the group, the boat trip is run daily and it includes the entry fees to Mabamba swamp, small boat that takes you to the swamp to search for the shoebill and a guide while in the swamp.

The reason why you should book this trip is that it is a target trip for the backpackers in Entebbe who would like to do shoebill tracking on shores of Lake Victoria, if the number goes up, it is still compatible for the shoestring travelers who would like to spend less on their trip.
